Before opening my private practice, my career journey took me to a variety of places and each one has influenced the ways I listen and understand in the consulting room. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art and Art History from Barnard College, Columbia University. Although my career has moved away from visual art practice, ideas of creativity, expression, pattern and repetition, spontaneity, seeing and being seen, and aliveness are still central to how I work as a therapist. I started my career in social work working with homeless and low income survivors of domestic violence where I learned a great deal about healing from trauma, power and control, and systems of privilege. I completed my graduate work at the University of California Los Angeles with a Masters in Social Welfare. The program I attended highlighted issues of social justice and addressing the needs of the community. During and after graduate school I worked in community mental health settings including in re-entry after incarceration and at multiple county clinics where I completed extensive training in CBT, DBT, and prolonged exposure. I went on to work in residential treatment for co-occuring substance use and mental health diagnoses where I got in depth experience in working with addiction, personality disorders, and more persistent mental health issues. From there I transitioned to working in group practice where I deepened my knowledge and skills working psycho-analytically, which has become the theoretical foundation of my clinical practice. I hold a two year certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Psychoanalytic Center of California and am currently completing a one year program in relational psychoanalysis through the Stephen Mitchell Center. I opened my private practice in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles which is where you find me now. Welcome.

About My Practice

I work with older teens, adults, and couples from all backgrounds. I value inclusion, humility, and an anti-oppressive framework. The field of psychotherapy has a long, complicated history of racism, sexism, and homophobia. I believe in what therapy has to offer to all people and welcome all identities to my practice. I have worked with diverse populations and in diverse settings. I am open to hearing about anything you might need to feel safe and welcome in the therapeutic space.

Fees and Insurance

My fee for a 45 minute session is $225. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots, feel free to ask if any are currently available.

I am an out of network provider. If your health insurance covers out of network providers, I can supply you with a superbill to qualify for reimbursement. Your insurance company can provide more information on whether or not they cover out of network services and their rate of reimbursement.
